Weather Alerts
The National Weather Service is closely monitoring the severe weather conditions affecting Nashville today. As always, stay tuned for updates, and remember to remain weather aware and safe during this advisory period.
Severe Weather Conditions
It’s currently 6:00 AM in Nashville, TN, with temperatures at a chilly 36°F, under severe weather conditions. The humidity is sitting at 79%, making the air feel damp and heavy this morning. Thankfully, winds are calm right now, so it feels a bit less harsh outside. The sky is overcast, casting a gray hue over the city, with the threat of flooding looming as rivers rise due to recent rainfall.
Weather Changes Coming
As the day progresses, we can expect significant shifts in our weather landscape. The rising humidity combined with higher temperatures will likely lead to a more oppressive atmosphere, making it feel even cooler with the potential for a sudden chill as moisture accumulates. Watch for the possibility of additional rainfall, which can elevate river levels further and complicate outdoor plans.
Today’s Outlook
Looking ahead, the next 24 hours promise to be dynamic. Expect temperatures to climb gradually, reaching a high of around 50°F by the afternoon, but don’t let that fool you; the moisture in the air may keep it feeling heavier than it actually is. Keep an eye on the forecast for more updates as the flood advisories remain in place, especially around the Cumberland River and its tributaries. If you have to venture outside, stay cautious and avoid any flooded areas. Stay safe and stay tuned for further updates!
